The Bootstrap Leadership
In addition to all of the excellent engineers, analysts and project managers who make it happen, the following team members provide the leadership needed to keep everyone on target and realize our collective potential.
Richard Levine (CEO and co-founder) has been programming
since 1987, when the Internet as we know it was in its infancy. He graduated from Duke University with a
degree in Computer Science and then spent two years in the field with Poppe-Tyson (a division of Bozell Worldwide).
He later worked as a Senior Associate at Cambridge Technology Partners. In his time in the field he was
immersed in the latest technologies and applications and, at the same time, realized that there was
generally a discordance among technology, business knowledge, and design. Richard founded Bootstrap
with the intention of delivering all of these services in one cohesive package.
Jay Erickson (COO and co-founder) has an intimate knowledge of available technologies as well as
a strong project management and business analysis background. After graduating from Princeton University he spent a year running an event production business, DDJ Productions, and then moved on to operate a
private construction business. Jay knows the ins and outs of working on challenging projects and managing
teams of people to execute projects from conception to delivery. He has a strong ability to communicate
with clients, understand business goals, and ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and with the highest
quality standards.
Mike Stineman (Director of Business Development) joined the Bootstrap team in 2004 bringing a strong background from the financial software industry. After graduating from Middlebury College with a degree in Economics he worked for Baseline Financial Services, Inc. While there he worked within the client support group for two years learning about the close ties of the financial industry and technology. He developed a close understanding of clients business processes and their software needs and moved into the Product Design & Development Group. After being acquired by Thomson Financial, Inc. in 2000, he became a Global Customer Segment Manager working with clients across the industry to drive the development of new features and products. Mike came to Bootstrap with the deep understanding that the best approach to software development is understanding the business process first.
